Chief Executive Officer – Singapore

Simon moved to Singapore from UK in 2008 to take on the position as Managing Director of Aviva Singapore, with responsibility for the company’s sales and marketing activities.  He describes the move as “one of the best decisions I have ever made”.

One year later, he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer, responsible for all aspects of the business in Aviva, where he strives to deliver distinctive solutions to customers and partners.

He has led significant growth with Aviva doubling its life insurance sales in 2010.  Over the last two years, under Simon’s leadership, Aviva has launched several market leading product and service solutions including mortgage protection and concierge, a priority service that offers expedited processes and luxury treatment for the High Net Worth segment.  He is passionate about the development of long-business relationships or partnerships.

Prior to joining Aviva, Simon was Director of PruDirect in the UK where he led the transformation of its direct channels and grew its online services for intermediaries. He was also formerly Director at Barclays Bank UK where he garnered extensive experience in retail financial services, in particular integrated channel management, eChannels delivery and online banking development.  Basically, the Economics and Politics graduate from Warwick University worked for more than 20 years in the banking and insurance sector in UK.
