Customer Service Director – Singapore

Tan Lay Hoon was appointed Customer Service Director of Aviva in Singapore in November 2009, responsible for delivering enhanced and consistent service to Aviva’s customers in the market.

Prior to assuming her current position, she was Aviva Singapore’s Head of Employee Benefits & Healthcare (EBH), where she led her team to become the clear market leader in Singapore to local and international corporations.

Lay Hoon has 15 years of experience across the insurance, broking and consulting fields. Before joining Aviva, she was Regional Operations Leader, Health & Benefits (H&B), in Mercer Consulting. Her career also included an eight year stint in AIA, where she held positions in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Claims, Training, Compliance and Re-Engineering. Her last role in AIA was to drive AIA’s vision, strategies and business growth initiatives across Southeast Asia as the Regional Agency Executive, Agency & Distribution Department.

Lay Hoon graduated with a degree in Business Studies from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University, majoring in Actuarial Science. She takes a keen interest in upgrading her skill set with various professional industry certifications including Underwriting Life & Health Insurance, Life Insurance, General Insurance, Investment-Linked Products and Financial Planning.
