What to do in an accident
If anyone involved in the accident is injured, call the Police. Exchange contact and identification details with the other party.
Do not admit liability, sign a promissory note agreeing to pay for damages or allow a towing service to take your car away.

Make the report regardless of whether or not you intend to claim on your own policy or if your car is damaged.
Aviva Emergency Assistance will send our Mobile Accident Response Service (MARS) to assist you at the accident site and help complete your claims process.
If your car cannot be driven, we will arrange for tow to the nearest Aviva Approved Repairer and transport for you to your destination within Singapore.

Who can buy Aviva car insurance?
To buy Aviva Car Insurance, you must be/have:
- 21 to 70 years old and residing in Singapore
- the registered car owner of the car to be insured
- medically fit to drive and satisfy all driving regulations
- at least 1 year of driving experience
- not been previously refused car insurance for any reason
- made no more than 2 claims in the past 3 years
- no more than 12 demerit points or Driver Improvement Points System (DIPS) recorded on your driving licence
- a car with no modification or only modifications approved by Land Transport Authority of Singapore ("LTA") – this applies to new and renewed policies taken out on and after 16 Dec 2014
- a car not more than 15 years old

What is the Dual-Year Plan?
It’s a special plan that lets you lock in your current premium price (including savings or discounts you get now) when you commit to two consecutive years of coverage by Aviva Car insurance!
What is NCD?
NCD is short for “No Claims Discount”. This term is common with all car insurance companies. It means that if you don’t make any claims on your car insurance, you get a 10% discount off the price of your car insurance premium every year. You can accumulate this yearly discount for more savings every year, capped at a maximum of 50%.
Do you insure modified vehicles?
Yes, we do cover modded vehicles that have received an ok from LTA. This applies to new and renewed policies taken out on and after 16 Dec 2014.
What are “mods”? Mods or modification means any changes you make to your car including accessories like those fancy rims or snazzy spoilers.
How do I access my policy online to view or make changes?
Easy peasy – just visit this link then login using your Aviva Login ID and password. You can view and change your own damage policy excess, among other things.
What are the options available to pay my premium?
You can pay online with a credit card (only Visa or MasterCard accepted).
Can I pay by monthly instalments?
Yes, you can opt for the Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) through your UOB, DBS or POSB Visa/ MasterCard credit card (debit cards not accepted).
How do I renew my policy?
Don’t worry about having your plan lapse, we’ll email you when the time comes for renewal. When you receive it, just click on the link in the renewal reminder email. This will take you directly to the renewal payment screen.

Free Car Breakdown Cover in Singapore
Your Car Policy with Aviva entitles you to free breakdown assistance in the Republic of Singapore. Our breakdown lines are open all day, all night, every day of the year. If you need us all you have to do is call 6333 2222. We will dispatch a breakdown vehicle who will attempt to repair your vehicle at the roadside. If that isn’t possible we will tow your car to the service centre of your choice within the Republic of Singapore.
